Sandman Media is looking for an experienced, highly motivated Web Developer.

Position: Web Developer (Permanent)

Employer: Sandman Media Inc.

Working Location: #1902-1060 Alberni Street, Vancouver, BC, V6E 4K2

Wage: $33.00-$35.00/hour (to be negotiated) (Overtime pay will be paid at 1.5 times your regular wage for the time over 8hrs/day and 40 hrs/wk.)

Working hours: 30hrs/week (Full-time)

Benefit: annual vacation-two weeks per year or 4 % vacation fee paid every pay cheque

Start date: As soon as possible

Duties and Responsibilities:

Coding, theming and development for website development projects and customizations.
Make suggestions for code improvements and user interface improvements.
Support all staff by prioritizing and responding promptly to requests.
Monitor web sites for problems with performance, usability, display issues, etc, and fix or recommend changes.
Drive web development projects to accomplish critical business goals, i.e. member profile engagement, user experience testing, content management and workflows, etc.
Source, select and organize information for inclusion and design the appearance, layout and flow of the web site.
Work with other staff to improve and standardize our design and development process
Analyzing website analytics.

Additional Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education/Experience: Completion of College diploma in computer science, graphic arts, web designer or business; and Computer programmer or graphic designer related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: English is the primary language skill.
