Greetings!
We are looking for a home support worker for a lady employer who lives in Powell River, BC. She has Primary Progressive (MS) Multiple Sclerosis and is currently in need of a home support worker.
Working Hours: from 10am to 2pm. 4:30pm to 6:30pm and 8pm to 10pm (8 hours a day),
40 hours per week, over time can be accommodated depends on the need of the employer but will not exceed 44 hours total in a week. It is a non-smoking working environment.
Wage: CAD 21.09 per hour
Main Duties:
- - Provide care and companionship for the employer
- - Administer necessary care and aid in bathing, personal hygiene, dressing and undressing
- - Meal preparation following employers special diet, feed, assist in feeding employer
- - May perform health-related duties such as administration of medications following doctors prescription and order
- - May perform light housekeeping duties such as dusting, laundry, washing dishes, making beds, and some watering of plants
- - Must be knowledgeable in using manual lift
- - Must know how to drive to assist employer for doctors appointment
- - No major health issues
Employment requirements:
- - Some secondary education is required.
- - Must speak and write English conversely
- - First Aid Certification is required
- - Completion of training in care of elderly, care of persons with disabilities is required
