We are looking for an In-Home caregiver on a full-time basis as a Home Support Worker to supervise and care for our 2 boys with autism.
We are located near the intersection of Kortright West and Ironwood in Guelph, Ontario.
Pay starts at CAD$ 20.00 per hour, 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
Fluency in English is required for easy communication with our family.
Duties are:
Provide assistance with activities on a day to day basis, including bathing, dressing, and grooming; Administer medications as prescribed by a nurse or healthcare professional;
Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and organizing the boys' bedroom;
Prepare meals and assist with feeding;
Accompany them to medical appointments or social outings, walk/drive to school back and forth, sports activities etc.
Prepare things to wear according to the weather condition.
Monitor and report any changes in client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients;
Other duties may be assigned for the benefits of our 2 boys with special needs.
Requirements: - must have taken a caregiver training course with on the job training including taking care of individuals with special needs or disabilities
- certificate for Basic Life Support and First Aid
- Canadian secondary education completed or equivalent
